Ellie JacksonStudent Profile of Ellie Jackson

"My name is Ellie Jackson, and I graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in December with a bachelor’s degree in communications. My parents are Julie Alowa of Anchorage and the late Jerry Jackson of Nome.

While attending school, I became interested in and began focusing on a career in public relations. I served as a member and chapter president of an on-campus organization called the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).

I am now living in Anchorage and my plan is to secure a job in the area of healthcare public relations. I feel this will afford me the best way to give back to my community, while at the same time remaining close to what I enjoy doing. Though I will certainly miss life in the sun, I am very happy to finally be back home to Alaska after years of attending school out of state."
